Index 30 - Multiple Explosions
Official version of events
There were definitely only four explosions or “sites” of explosions as Sir Ian Blair has on occasions called them..
Query
Were there more than four explosions and if so what was the exact number?
Exhibits MX1 – MX10
All the sources listed support in various ways the contention that more, perhaps considerably more, bombs went off than has been admitted.
MX2 MX3 MX4 MX5 & MX6 all seem to indicate the possibility of a building having been attacked.
Related Information
Various.
Summary
It is obvious from this, and the various other folders, that there were an unspecified number of “unacknowledged” blasts in London on the 7th July.

There were police cordons and confusion as people were trying to work out what was going on.
Avoiding police cordons, I walked to Tavistock Square, on my way to Farringdon, to the small marketing company where I work. I was on the phone to a colleague, when the bomb went off.
I thought it came from a building, because I could see bricks flying out, rubble and debris flying through the air. There was noise, smoke and dust from the building.
Had I been 30 seconds later, the bomb would have hit me. People started running, the police descended immediately, shouting to people to get out and get away.

"It was a huge, huge explosion, chunks of building were flying in the air," said Doug Streeter, who was about 150 metres away from the blast.
"My immediate thought was I don't want to be around here. People were running for their lives," he said. "At the time I couldn't see it was a bus exploding."

"We were sitting in traffic jam and there was a huge explosion. Everyone ran down from the top of our bus and pushed their way out screaming but the driver wouldn't open the doors."
"There were hundreds and hundreds of people running back from Euston Road and some of them were crying and covering their faces. I stopped a bloke and asked what was going on and he said he had seen debris flying out of a building."

At half past nine on Thursday morning, I left my flat next to Aldgate East to head to work on the Tube. There was a small crowd - a few City boys with black briefcases, a hijab-wearing student, a pensioner - talking to a police officer, who was mysteriously putting "keep out" tape next to my road. "Where did the explosion happen?" a woman asks. "Everywhere," the policeman says quietly. She looks puzzled. "There have been several ... incidents," he says. "Please step back."

Mr Radulovic said when he finally got out of the station, he was "in a daze".
He said: "Liverpool Street was at a standstill and I walked round for an hour and tried to call everyone. I stayed around Paddington and tried to put everything together. No–one really knew how many bombs there were.
