Index 09 - Old Street Station
Official version of events
There was no explosion at Old Street. Any initial reports that there was were erroneous and due to confusion attributable to the sound of other explosions echoing down tunnels.

Were the initial press reports indicating that Old Street was one of the stations hit correct.
Exhibits (OS1 - OS10)
There are two named witnesses although neither claims to have seen an explosion.
John Durkin (OS2) described “just a smell of burning”.
Ryan Wayne (OS3) said “We weren’t allowed to leave the train at Old Street were they found one of the bombs.
Indybay (OS5) quotes British Transport Police as confirming an incident at Old Street.

No direct eye-witness evidence but it is likely that an explosion did take place here. Old Street is on the Northern Line. Is it feasible that the “official” explosions some distance away on the Picadilly and Circle Lines would give the illusion of a blast there?
